How does myLot work?
You participate in discussions by either starting your own discussions or by commenting on other discussions.

Overview of earnings
You will earn around 0.40cents for 50 quality posts a day. The earnings are updated daily. "Quality posts" means at least 3 lines of comments to a discussion or a new discussion that many users will comment on.

By "3 lines", that means 3 lines on the text area where you write your discussion, not how it appears on the screen after you posted it. By "many" that's relative, expect a good discussion to reach up to 40 comments and will span to 5 pages.

In addition to this, you will earn 25% of your Referrals' earnings. Referrals are myLot members that joined through your Referral Link.

How do myLot members get paid?
The payment mode is through PayPal. That means that the Parish will have to acquire a PayPal account (free) and a bank account to withdraw the money from PayPal.

But my PayPal account is not yet verified!
An unverified PayPal account can already receive payment on the net or spend on the net. Verification of PayPal account is only needed when you wish to withdraw your PayPal money as cash.

You can easily update your myLot account's Payment Infor when you have created your PayPal account. That means that even though you still don't have a PayPal account, you are already earning through your myLot participation.

How to create a myLot account?

Go to http://www.myLot.com

1. Click on Sign up! button or link as shown below.

2. You will be redirected to http://www.mylot.com/nr/register.aspx
Fill up all fields in the Registration form.

3.You will then be redirected to http://www.mylot.com/nr/nextstep.aspx
You will be prompted to invite your friends. You may do this some other time, so let's skip this page by clicking on the click here link on the bottom as shown below.

4. Next you will be prompted to add Interests which are basically topics that you are interested in. Take your time in choosing which Interests you want. This is important because you can only start discussions that are listed in your Interests. However, you can also add new Interests by editing your Profile.

4.1 Add Interests. Click on the green + circles of each Interest that you want to be added in your list.

4.2 Go to the next Step. Then keep adding Interests.

When you're done filling up all your Interests. Or when you've gotten tired and hit Skip Wizard. You'll see your myLot Homepage.

5. START EARNING! Start earning by participating in Discussions. View open discussions in your Discussions tab.

Under your Discussions Tab are the following sub-tabs:
1. today's top: Discussions with the highest responses today.
2. my interests: Discussions under the Interests that you chose.
3. new: Newly posted discussions.
4. recent: Recently posted discussions - a little older than those under the "New" tab, but are still relevantly new.
5. Started: Discussions that you have started.
6. Responded: Discussions that you have commented on.
7. Friends started: Discussions that your friends started. Your myLot friends can be seen on the friends tab on the same level as the discussions tab.
8. Hot: Recent discussions that have many comments.
9. No responses: Discussions that no one has responded to, so far.
10. New user: Discussions started by new users.
11. Best responses: Your comment that have been marked as the discussions Best Response.
12. Unresolved: Discussions that you have started but have not chosen a Best Response for.

Finally, verify your myLot account by signing into the email account that you provided. An email has been sent to you from myLot. Click on the link provided in that email.

How to create a new Discussion?
1. Click on new discussion link on the top left corner of your page.

2. Choose which Interest/Topic it belongs to.
Click on that Interest then fill up the form: Supply a title for the discussion, then supply the Title. Click on Submit then add Tags to make your discussion searchable.

What Tag should I write? It's all up to you. For example, a Discussion on "What is the Trinity about?" may use Tags such as: Christianity, Catholic, trinity, triune God, God - each Tag is separated by a comma.

If the appropriate Interest/Topic is not listed, you will have to add that Interest first.

Add a new Interest by clicking on your Interests tab then Choosing which of the following Categories your Interest belongs to. In the example below, we're adding an Interest under the Movies that I recommend watching category.

Then click on the Green + Button of the items you want to add.

How to participate in an existing Discussion?

1. Click on your Discussions tab.

2. Then choose (from any of the sub-tabs) which Discussion you want to participate in. Click on the title to open the Discussion.

3. The Discussion will open. Click Respond to this discussion.

4. Type in your response then hit post response.

5. Finally, tag your discussion - add two or three keywords of your post.

Your earnings will be updated once a day. Usually at night in the Philippines.

How to create a gmail account?

Gmail is to Google as Yahoo! Mail is to Yahoo!

PayPal only accepts gmail (Google Mail) accounts. I don' t know why.

Here's where you create a new, free gmail account:

Be sure to incorporate letters and numbers to create a secure password.

DON'T check Remember me on this computer if other people uses the computer you are currently using. They may hack into your account.

A Security Question is prompted when you forget your password. So be sure that you will NEVER forget the Answer that you provide.

You DON'T have to provide a Secondary Email. But you can edit your account in the future to add this.

Finally, click the I accept Create my account button.
